Cleaning & Care
A guide for cleaning & care of exotic skin shoes
✅ Daily Care
Wipe shoes gently with a soft dry cloth after each wear
Allow shoes to breathe — avoid wearing the same pair daily
Use cedar shoe trees to maintain shape and absorb moisture
Brush lightly in the direction of the scales or natural grain
Use a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt
For stains, use a cleaner specifically formulated for exotic leather
NEVER use regular leather conditioner — it can soften and lift scales
Avoid water — moisture can cause scales to curl and discolor
If cleaning is needed for python/scales, lightly clean under scales with cotton swab (very gently)
Use exotic-leather conditioner sparingly (recommended 1–2 times per year)
Apply only a small amount with a soft cloth
Allow to dry naturally, then buff lightly
For shiny exotic leather (croc/stingray), use reptile polish (thin coat)
Do not over-condition — can damage exotic skins
